Women’s and children’s rights
Short explanations connect the protection of rights to Qur’anic sources and show why conditions and children’s property matter.
Rights follow entitlement
An-Nisa 4:7 establishes shares for men and women. Identify everyone entitled before distribution; difficulty claiming or young age should not erase an entitled person.
Protecting orphans’ property
An-Nisa 4:10 warns against consuming orphans’ property unjustly. Keep a child’s property separate, document it and consult the competent authority on management.
Handover has conditions
An-Nisa 4:6 links handing over an orphan’s property to maturity and sound judgment, with witnessing. Do not substitute an individually chosen age for the relevant conditions and legal procedure.
Read shares in context
In the father-mother-son case each parent receives one sixth. The wife-son-daughter case is different. Relationships and the full set of heirs matter; one ratio cannot describe every case.
